With Lyoto Machida’s admitted use of a banned substance and his removal from Saturday’s UFC on FOX 19 card, the lineup has a new co-headliner.
With Machida (22-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) out of his bout with fellow middleweight Dan Henderson (31-14 MMA, 8-8 UFC) and the forced cancellation of the matchup, a rematch between strawweights Rose Namajunas (4-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Tecia Torres (7-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has been elevated to the co-main-event slot.
UFC on FOX 19 takes place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. The card airs on FOX following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Namajunas vs. Torres initially was slated as the main-card opener. Now filling that spot are featherweights Cub Swanson (21-7 MMA, 6-3 UFC) and Hacran Dias (23-3-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who were promoted from the prelims.
Additionally, a fight between lightweights Drew Dober (16-7 MMA, 2-3 UFC) vs. Islam Makhachev(12-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has been elevated from the UFC Fight Pass preliminary card to the FOX prelims.
The official UFC on FOX 19 lineup now includes:
